קבוצת מ.ס. דניאל צפת לא הצליחה להעפיל בפעם השנייה בתולדותיה לגמר גביע האגוד, למרות שגברה במשחק הגומלין על מכבי חדרה, 78:90. צפת הייתה צריכה למחוק פיגור מהפסד בפער של 13 נקודות מהמשחק הראשון שנערך בחדרה.
משחק חצי גמר הגביע, נערך תחת החלטת משרד הבריאות לקיים את המשחקים עד 100 איש כולל השחקנים ואנשי הצוות, מה שנתן ל-60 אוהדים מאושרים שבסוף יצאו מאוכזבים לאחר שצפת עשתה את כל הטעויות האפשריות בדקה האחרונה ואיפשרה לחדרה להפסיד ב-12 ולהעפיל לשלב הגמר מול מכבי רמת גן. ביום שלישי הקרוב תארח צפת (20:00) את הפועל נעם גלבוע המתאוששת ותנסה לרשום רצף של 4 ניצחונות. אצל האורחת משחק דביר אוחנה, בנו של ראש העיר צפת. צפת רוצה להגיע במצב רוח למשחק במחזור שלאחר מכן מול המוליכה, הפועל כפר סבא.
